It's a Mom Thing Reviews & More!: The MUTTS Winter Diaries + Giveaway

The MUTTS Winter Diaries + Giveaway

*I participated in a campaign on behalf of Element Associates for Mutts Comics. I received promotional items to thank me for my participation. All opinions are my own.*

When I was younger I always loved when my family would get the Sunday newspaper so that I could read the comics! As I got older I learned that there were books filled with comic strips! I was so excited when I received the MUTTS Winter Diaries because it gave me a chance to return to my childhood!

MUTTS comic strips have been around since 1994 and appears in 700 newspapers in more than 20 countries! The author Patrick McDonnell has also received numerous awards for his comics!

To coincide with the release of the new book, The Mutts Winter Diaries, Richard Leeds International has designed a cozy nightshirt to give you the sweetest of dreams.

Patrick McDonnell writes more than newspaper comic strips though. McDonnell wrote his first children's book in 2005 which became a New York Times Best Seller. Since then he has released many more books, one of which was a Celdecott Honor winner!

My favorite thing about the MUTTS comic strips is that they are perfect for reading with your family. Though the comics may be geared towards adults they have many themes that children will find funny and really enjoy! My daughter's favorite is the comic below!

McDonnell is also involved in many animal and environmental charities. His characters have been enlisted by the U.S. Marines for their 2006 Toys for Tots poster, the American Library Association's 2007 "Read!" poster, and the HSUS for their himane postage stamps. The MUTTS characters also appear on the NJ Animal Friendly license plates that fund state pet populations programs.

  1. This is the first I'm hearing of Mutts Comics. I think my oldest son would be interested in this.
