It's a Mom Thing Reviews & More!: Alexandra and Gina take on Blogger Bash NYC!

Alexandra and Gina take on Blogger Bash NYC!

Let us just start off by saying that Blogger Bash NYC was absolutely amazing! We learned so much, met so many amazing bloggers and talked to lots of reps from awesome companies! It was one of the most fun experiences that we have both ever had! We left talking about how we hope that it isn't too far away next year so that we can attend again. In this post we just want to recap a little bit about what we did, what we saw, and put up some photos of the events! We took a ton of photos so couldn't fit them all into this post, if you would like to see more photos check out the album on our Facebook page! Keep reading to see more photos and learn a bit about what we did at Blogger Bash NYC!

As soon as we walked in we knew this event was going to be so fun! Thursday July 17th started off with Sweet Suite which is an event hosted by The Big Toy Book and is divided into play areas which are sponsored by different companies in the toy industry. We were able to test out new products and talk to the representatives from the companies, as well as chat with other bloggers, and enjoy some sweet treats! We were so excited to see so many new toys that will be coming out this holiday season and debuting in the next few months!

After all of the fun at Sweet Suite we headed to the Angry Birds Stella After Party! This after party was hosted by Rovio Entertainment Ltd. We has NYC themed food and signature Stella cocktails (which were delicious) while checking out the new game and Telepods which featured Stella and her friends! We also had some more time to chat with other bloggers which was tons of fun!

The next day Friday July 18th started off with a Bat-Tastic breakfast where we got to have Batman themed breakfast food and drinks while playing and learning all that there is to know about LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. This game was so much fun! We are definitely looking forward to purchasing it once it comes out!

After breakfast we headed over to the Media Panel which featured Ciaran Blumenfeld from and Momfluential, Deborah Mitchell from Deborah Mitchell Media Associates, Samantha Meiler from Nick Mom, and Samantha Murphy Kelly from Mashable. These ladies were so nice and knew a lot about both social media and traditional forms of media. They helped us to learn about what is trending, how we should find a niche, and all about hashtags and tracking them. It was a great panel that we were lucky to get to watch.

Once the Media Panel was over we did some Speed Dating with Brands where we were able to talk to representatives from brands and exchange information as well as learn more about what they are looking for from blogger that work with them. It was an amazing experience being able to learn what different companies are looking for from bloggers as well as see what other bloggers are looking for from companies. We also were able to have lunch which was hosted by Johnny Rockets and was delicious and fun! We even got to make our own milkshakes!

We then got to attend Baby Palooza where we got to see different brands in they baby industry such as Britax, Joovy, Delta Children, JJ Cole, and more. As well see Intimacy, Jamberry Nails, and Sprinkles cupcakes. Some brands such as Britax was doing demos of their new strollers and carseats which are amazing!

During Baby Palooza we were also so incredibly lucky to watch and interview with legendary and iconic baby photographer Anne Geddes. She talked to us about her photography, some of her likes, and her passion for photography. She also signed her book for each of us. We have always loved her work but seeing how amazing she is makes us love her even more.

During most of the rest of the afternoon we were able to travel between a few different events going on. The first was a food demo hosted by Chicken Soup for the Soul where they used some of their new products such as pasta sauces, soups, broths, and meal starters. The second was EA Events Social Suite where we got to see the Wubble Ball, try on jewelry from Joseph Nagucci, see Alex's Lemonade Stand, have makeup and nails done by Cover Girl and more! The third was a variety of sponsors such as MZ Wallace, Linda Francis Lee (where we were able to get an autographed book), Link Vehicle, Peanuts, and more!

The day ended with KidzVuz Back to School Event. We got to see back to school fashion from Lands End, technology from Microsoft, and way more. Many brands set up fun and interactive booth for kids and adults. Darren Young and Natalya from WWE were also there! So much fun!

Blogger Bash NYC was so much, as I am sure you can tell by the photos! We had such an amazing time, learned so much, met so many amazing people. and more. We cannot to wait to find out where it is going to be next year! To see more photos from Blogger Bash visit our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
