M is for Monster Review! -Alexandra

I cannot even express my excitement to review M is for Monster! Mia and I love doing crafts and learning activities together but I absolutely dread going to to the craft store shopping for the supplies especially since once we finish the project we had planned we always have supplies left over, some of which we never touch again. I have also been a stay at home mom for Mia since she was born (she is now almost 5) so we can only do an activity a certain of times before she gets bored of it. That is where M is for Monster comes in. This unique monthly service sends you a box each month packed full of activities for you and your child to do. There is a good mix of learning activities and fun crafts/games for each week. There are two different boxes available, a toddler box geared towards ages 2-3 and a preschool box geared toward ages 4-5. Each box goes out between the 20th and 22nd of each month that way you get it in time to start your activities on the 1st of the month! You can purchase the box in three different ways: a one month plan for $32.95, a three month plan for $94.85, or a six month plan for $187.40. You are also able to add on boxes if you have another child for a discounted rate. All prices also include shipping! Right now there is also a really neat box called "Holiday Gifts Kids Can Make", this box includes six different items and the supplies for kids to decorate and give as a holiday gift for family/friends or you could purchase just to keep your little one busy. This holiday kit will ship November 25th.

When you first open the box you see that the items are wrapped in tissue paper with a little sticker to keep them enclosed. Once you unwrap everything there is a plan for the month including what the plans are for each week and each activity. There is also a little card thanking you for your purchase and explaining to use your judgement if an activity doesn't seem right for your child and not to leave your children unattended with any product. Everything you need for the month of activities except scissors is included in the box, even a glue stick. Each week has a different theme that the activities will follow. I love the little plan for the month included because it lists each activity perfectly and it is easy to follow what pieces go with each each week. November's weekly themes were scarecrows, pumpkins, turkeys, and Thanksgiving. Above you can see all of the items separated by each week. My daughter loved doing her first week's activities and can't wait to start on next weeks! Every month the box varies but it also has some recurring lesson themes to help your child to continue learning things such as letters and numbers, but in different ways to keep them interested. We absolutely love M is for Monster and would recommend it to anyone! We cannot wait to sign up to get our box monthly! If you are interested in receiving a December box be sure to get your orders in soon so that it can be shipped out with the rest of the boxes!
