It's a Mom Thing Reviews & More!: Cult Cosmetics Review - Nicole

Cult Cosmetics Review - Nicole

I was delighted to review Cult Cosmetics and their BLACK BOX! Painting my nails is one of the few things I consistently do for myself, so this was an amazing product for me to review - and as of right now, sign up to receive monthly!

The BLACKBOX is a kit that you can subscribe for monthly, and you can cancel at any time with no commitments. It comes with 3 seasonal nail polishes, a professional tool and a trendy tip card. Some months you even get extra freebies! The box is a very sleek, high quality box and Cult does an amazing job at packaging your polishes to be sure that they won't break on their way to you - but also so that you have an eye pleasing experience from the moment you receive the box, to opening it and then to revealing all of your little goodies!

Cult Cosmetics uses top quality products to fill their boxes. Let's go over what I received in my BLACKBOX.

I  received a rhinestone wheel with nail glue, a purple polish by Color Club, a sparkly beige color by ORLY FX, a maroon color by OLY, nail lacquer strips from by OPI, a 4 design tip page and a Cult Cosmetics sticker!

Typically, I would have used my own nails to be our model - but I recently had a full set on, and it takes my nails a month or two to recover from they appear to think of as torture.

The design on the OPI nail lacquer strips is 'Pink/Silver Lace'. I actually really like this one. I have tried MANY strips that I didn't care for, they were thin or hard to place - but these went on very seamlessly. I also liked the design, since it isn't over the top and too busy.

The purple polish from Color Club is called 'Eternal Beauty'. This color was gorgeous! As a matter of fact, my daughter asked me to paint her nails with 'that princess color'. This polish had the perfect sized brush, not like the extremely thin or horribly large brushes that other companies tend to use.

'Rose Pixel' by ORLY FX was another really beautiful color, however, it required 2 top coats to keep from being too textured to the touch. The polish smoothed on evenly and didn't need multiple coats to get good coverage.

The maroon-esque color 'Naughty' by ORLY was my absolute favorite part of the BLACKBOX. The color was a nice deep color. It dried quickly, but not so quickly that it got tacky immediately upon touching my nail like so many of the fast dry types do. Also, unlike most fast dry polishes, this polish did not chip even a little bit.

You can also buy polishes, nail art kits and nail art tools in the Cult Cosmetics website in an a la carte fashion.

After reviewing the BLACKBOX, I did sign up for the monthly subscription and have yet to be disappointed!
